Welcome to the Axis Kichijoji International Preschool!

What makes AXIS special from all the other International Schools? It’s the Staff that makes it different. We are concerned for your child’s individual needs and the Preschools objective is to challenge and teach each child at their personal level. Axis promises to provide a safe, fun and effective learning environment for your child… We believe that we provide an environment for your child that allows them to develop in a way that they learn to believe in themselves, their abilities and their self worth. Through positive communication and a nurturing environment these goals can be met.

In our Preschool we are preparing children to enter into our International school program. We believe, based on past experience, that we can take a Japanese child with no English ability, and teach them so that they are able to enter into an International school. Children who master their English skills are naturally given preference to the Axis Kichijoji International School for a grade 1 placement.

Through play, music, stories and much more activities, the children in the Preschool are prepared and encouraged to use and develop their English Language skills with native teachers. Our program has been made so that no one is left out.

For Native English speaking children, the Preschool will prepare them with a solid foundation in the skills that they will need when they begin their formal education.

All children who are identified as having enough English skill when they reached the age of 6, may enroll for the grade 1 program on their birthday.

The class goes 9:00am to 2:50pm from Monday through Friday. The priorities are for the students who come 5 days a week. Special arrangement may be made only when there is a vacancy. Minimum 3 days per week, maximum 5 days per week. Depending your child’s needs, a half day program is available for children who’s ages range from 1-3 years old. Private lessons available from 3-5pm on request.
